Método Java Carácter isLetter()

El método isLetter(char ch) de la clase Character determina si el carácter dado (o especificado) es una letra o no.

Un carácter se considera una letra si el tipo de categoría general proporcionado por Character.getType(ch) es uno de los siguientes:

  • LETRA MAYÚSCULA.
  • LETRA MINÚSCULA.
  • TÍTULO MAYÚSCULAS_LETTER.
  • MODIFICADOR_LETTER.
  • OTHER_LETTER

Sintaxis

 public static boolean isLetter(char ch) 

Parámetro

ch : Es el personaje que necesita ser probado.

Valor de retorno

El método isLetter(char ch) devuelve un valor booleano, es decir, verdadero si el carácter dado (o especificado) es una letra. De lo contrario, el método devuelve falso.

Método Java Carácter isLetter(int codePoint)

El método isLetter(int codePoint) de la clase de carácter determina si el carácter dado (o especificado) es una letra o no.

Parámetro

El método anterior requiere solo un parámetro:

a.) El codePoint, que es el carácter que debe probarse.

Valor de retorno

El método isLetter(int codePoint) devuelve un valor booleano, es decir, verdadero, si el carácter dado (o especificado) es una letra. De lo contrario, el método devuelve falso.
